Ready to run, have fun, and compete with confidence? Our spring running program welcomes athletes ages 7 and up — from first-time runners to experienced competitors.

Train for distance track events (800m and up) while building endurance, speed, and confidence. Athletes can compete in indoor and outdoor races, and even national-level events.

Spring is the perfect time to build your speed, sharpen your skills, and enjoy the run with EDT!

Details:

11 full weeks of individualized and age-appropriate training by our expert coaching staff.
3 in-person practices/week:

Monday/Tuesday/Thursday: 4:30-5:45pm

*we ask that athletes attend at least 2 of the 3 each week.

An optional weekly plan catered to age/abilities consisting of strength training, core, plyometrics, and additional runs, as appropriate.
Additional in-person emphasis/education on strength, nutrition, mental preparedness, and race tactics.
A concentrated focus on data through performance metrics and race goals

Prerequisites:

Age 7+
Have a genuine interest in running, and a desire to improve.
Ability to run at least 800 meters (1/2 mile..aka 2 laps on a track) without walking.

Training

Locations

For training, we will rotate between locations that are within 5-10 minutes of Southlands Shopping Center and Aurora Reservoir such as: Red Tailed Hawk Park, Boulder Park, Anchor Point Park, Fox Ridge Middle School, and Polk Park.

*Practices may be shifted/canceled when close to a race

Spring Travel Meet Opportunities

We're excited to offer two amazing opportunities this Spring for athletes to travel and compete at the national level! Both meets are completely optional and independent—you do not need to attend one to participate in the other.

1. Washburn “Be Your Best #3” – February 21,2026

Topeka, KS

This 1-day indoor meet takes place at the brand-new Washburn facility and is open to all athletes who are interested and able to travel.

No team fee required – just a small meet registration cost and your own travel expenses.

Great chance for experience and fun competition in a high-quality venue.

2. Adidas Indoor Nationals – Spring Break (March 20-22,2026)

Virginia Beach, VA

This prestigious national meet is open to athletes ages 10+ who meet a qualifying standard. Qualifying marks will be released at the start of the winter season, and must be achieved by February 21st.

Cost: TBD- includes meet registration (travel and lodging not included).

Alumni are also welcome to compete in both listed events and may represent Elevated if they choose.
