About Elevated Distance Training

Our Program

Elevated Distance Training was created to be the most positive, inclusive, and excellent program that it can be. This is executed through athletes receiving quality and appropriate workouts, realistic goal setting, honest feedback, and building genuine relationships amongst coaches and teammates.   By participating in EDT, athletes will become stronger, faster, and sharper. They will be well prepared to compete in both track and cross country at the middle and high school levels. Our training is tested and true for both mental and physical results. 


Elevated Distance Training participates and is certified in both SafeSport and Positive Coaching Alliance programs. These programs help ensure the safety, success, and overall well-being of all athletes in the program. 

What Makes edt so different?

Data

Data analysis is at the heart of Elevated Distance Training. Our coaching philosophy is built on being highly reflective, intentional, and evidence-based. We maintain comprehensive individual and team performance records, tracking not only race results but also training metrics, season-over-season development, and year-over-year progression.

This meticulous approach allows us to identify strengths, monitor trends, personalize training plans, and adjust workloads with precision. By understanding each athlete’s unique trajectory, we can ensure that every runner — from new athletes to emerging elites — is consistently moving toward their fullest potential. At Elevated, data isn’t just numbers; it’s the roadmap that drives smarter training, better decisions, and exceptional results.

Relationships

Our unique training approach ensures that every athlete is met exactly where they are and placed in groups that foster genuine connection, confidence, and growth. We believe the heart of great coaching is great relationships, which is why our environment is built around trust, communication, and a strong sense of community.

At Elevated, we are intentional about creating training groups where athletes feel a true sense of belonging and can build meaningful relationships with both peers and coaches. Most importantly, we make sure every athlete feels seen, valued, and supported—not just as a runner, but as a person. These relationships are the foundation of our success and the reason athletes thrive with us, year after year.

Expert Coaching Staff

All of our coaches bring a unique and specialized set of skills to the EDT experience. Our staff includes experienced strength and conditioning coaches, educators, and even medical professionals with nursing backgrounds—allowing us to place a strong emphasis on proper technique, long-term athlete development, and injury prevention.

Unlike many programs that keep groups separate, our coaching model is highly collaborative. We work together across training groups to make sure every athlete gets the support, attention, and expertise they need. After each session, our coaches debrief to review progress, discuss individual needs, and adjust plans to ensure athletes continue moving forward safely and effectively.

Another defining strength of Elevated is that all of our coaches are still active runners themselves, often competing in many of the same races as our athletes. We firmly believe in practicing what we preach—and modeling the dedication, consistency, and passion we expect from our athletes.

We group runners based on goals and abilities and assign coaches who specialize in those specific areas, creating an environment where athletes feel supported, confident, and motivated to grow.
