Families/members are required to download our free team app. This is how we share information regarding news, updates, schedules, and changes during the season. The app is totally free and this is where you can find the season practice/meet schedule.
-Elevated Distance Training is designed for youth athletes 7 to 18 years old. Our workouts are individualized to meet the needs of a variety of ages and ability levels. We are happy to train high school athletes during Winter/Summer seasons when they are not in session.
The team participates in various track and cross country meets each season. Athletes are encouraged to participate in these when possible. They are extremely fun events and a great way to monitor progress for the athletes!
All athletes are required to have a current USATF membership ($25/yr) and a free Athletic.net account for meet registrations.
-Practices take place a Fox Ridge Middle School , Boulder Park in the Beacon Point Neighborhood, and Red Tail Hawk Park off Aurora Parkway.
For the quality and integrity of training, we ask:
1. All athletes are able to run at least a half-mile (800m) continuous (without walking) *This helps ensure that our level of training is appropriate for every participant and that we are able to keep all athletes healthy and safe. PLEASE verify this prior to signing up.
2. Athletes have a desire to run and improve. Running is by it's own nature challenging. We prefer not to have athletes that were signed up to "keep them busy" and who do not have a genuine interest in running and improving.
Daily at practice, athletes should always have: weather appropriate clothing, water bottle, digital wrist watch to keep time, and quality running shoes.
Visit our Team Gear page if you wish to see offerings for athletes and families. We take orders for the first week of each season and orders typically take about a week to deliver.
*Athletes who choose to participate in cross country/track races that we attend as a team must have a team racing jersey and either a hoodie or long sleeve warm-up shirt. These items are not required if only training and attending inter-squad races. We are happy to advise on racing shoes for those interested.
In order to practice with the team or participate in events, all athletes must be fully cleared which includes:
1) Registration form completed including the WAIVER AGREEMENT
2) Season Fees paid in full (see the season registration page you wish to join)
3) Refunds will only be given prior to the start of season due to staffing. Once season has started, there will be no refunds issued. Gear will be disbursed after payment is collected.
